The "Ides of March" today!
What a winter! Snow everywhere and very cold! But not here in the Teapot Pottery (warm and cosy near the Kilns and Log Fire!) where we are making our wonderful designs and now we have added some new ones! We will be putting them on the web site very soon, but to tempt you all we have a new Ice Cream Sundae, an Armchair, a new small Cupcake with several different toppings, an Egg cup with a boiled egg in it, and many more!
As you all know by now we have been doing this for many years and sometimes we are asked " will you ever think of another Teapot design" and hey presto! the above are now introduced for this year and we are convinced we are going sell loads of them!

How quickly has January flown passed! It's almost the end now and we are busy with our new designs which should be up on the web in February! How exciting is that! For all you Carters Teapots afficianodo's we have some 'delicious', 'tuneful' and 'comfy' ones too! But you will have to wait patiently and see!

Happy New Year to you all!

Well we are all over the Christmas festivities and no doubt have all eaten and drunk far more than we should have done but it's only once a year!
We have been very busy up to Christmas and all the feedback from our customers has been full of praise for our handling of their orders and delivery to them ontime. Here at Carters we pride ourselves on that personal service and I am always here to attend to your needs (except when I have a week's holiday then I leave it to carol or Jill!)

Christmas Open Day 10.30 - 4.30

Here we are already at the beginning of December and how quickly the months have flown by!
We are getting ready for the open day on Saturday filling the shop up with "goodies"! There are going to be special offers and seconds at "knock down" prices, so come along and listen to Tony’s annual talk and see Jill and Carol demonstrate the making and painting of our Teapots at 12 and 2.30pm.

There will be complimentary mulled wine and mince pies for our customer and everyone is welcome - so come and see us!

Christmas fast approaching!

We always say "where does the time go to" and here we are in November with Christmas only 6 week's away!
The Pottery has been frantically making Teapots for you to buy and give as wonderful unusual presents to your friends and relations. The most common thing I hear from people now is "what do I buy for my friends and relations that they haven't already got!" Of course the obvious answer from me is "a Teapot"! There is (generally) a design of Teapot that would suit all tastes and hobbies so I suggest you all search through the Teapot Shop and you will be bound to find something! Let me know if there is anything you would like personalised as I can help there too! Just get on the phone as I am generally the one who answers.

Almost the end of October!

Where has the time gone? We are rushing headlong into the Autumn here in England and a beautiful time it is too. We are very busy at the Pottery making Teapots as fast as we can ( but with our usual degree of care of course!).

Christmas is fast approaching and the shops, whether here in Great Britain, or around the World, are gearing up for good sales and stocking up with those more unusual gifts - and that's where we score full marks! The Teapot, as made by Carters Ceramic Designs, is a very highly sort after piece, especially by customers abroad, who appreciate the finer points of an English hand-made Teapot, to give as a totally unique gift to the person who has everything.

Our "Indian Summer" in England!

well it's a glorious day here in Suffolk England today and we are enjoying an "Indian Summer"! The temperatures are soaring in the early 20's and the Summer seems to be going on forever - which we know it won't but, whilst it's here, we will enjoy it!

We at Carters Ceramic Designs have been frantically making Teapots for orders to send all over the world and can't make them quick enough for some people!! Patience is a virtue - and everyone that knows us understands that we carefully make lovely Teapots and this takes time! I have said before that it takes a week to make a Teapot from Clay to end firing, and every piece is made by hand.

We have some new Teapots which will be on the website soon - so watch out for those. Also our Open Day this year is on Saturday 5th December so watch the website for details nearer that date.

Don't forget that Christmas is coming up fast - we are now at the end of September - and you should start thinking about your nearest and dearest's special gifts of our lovely unusual, quinessentially English Teapots!

Is this the end of the Summer?!

Well it's now September and we are all noticing the darker evenings and the cooler mornings! However we may have many more lovely Indian type Summer days to come, hopefully!!

Bank Holiday was a glorious weekend in Suffolk with lots of visitors and we were really blessed with a fantastic 3 day break (last of the Bank Holidays until Christmas - yes I know!)

The children all go back to School this week and so the next visitors will be those people wanting a quieter time and we look forward to seeing them here at the Teapot Pottery.

This coming week Tony and I are at the NEC Autumn Trade Gift Fair in Birmingham where we will no doubt see all our Trade customers who are purchasing for the Christmas sales rush that will begin at the end of the month in shops near you - in fact I am sure some shops have already got Christmas gifts on their shop floor!

Glorious weather in Suffolk!

This weekend is Bank Holiday (the last one before Christmas!) and everyone will be out enjoying the "end" of the Summer! We are expecting lots of visitors as this year has been a very busy one for people coming to Suffolk, and in particular, to us at the Teapot Pottery! We have been seeing large numbers of families coming in to paint a pot and also to watch the Teapot making and painting that they can see from our shop counter., and lots of Teapots being sold to happy customers!

We have also been making Teapots for the Queen Mary and Harrods, and this shows that the foreign market is thriving with good sales abroad as more and more people want British products.

Come and visit us if you can in Suffolk - you will love the countryside and especially what the Teapot Pottery has to offer!

Summertime at the Teapot Pottery

Summer is well and truly arrived with glorious weather here in England! Suffolk is now busy with visitors and the Teapot Pottery is no exception as wehave many people coming to see us make and paint the Teapots which always amazes them. We are very busy with children painting their own pots now as well so come along and visit us!

I cannot believe that time has flown by so quickly! It was Christmas since I wrote the last Blog and I really should have written sooner!!
Well never mind I am writing now - we have been so very busy since Christmas with orders to shops including Russia and Japan which have meant that all of us are finding 24 hours is just not enough time in a day! Running a small business can be very demanding with stress levels running high, and although we never complain about being overloaded with work - we are making as fast as we can!

The new Collectors Club teapot which is featured on the Collectors Club page, is a sweet little Kitchen Range and I know that everyone loves it! So sign up again and add it to your collection! OK there is an option for anyone who is superstitious about green (I know of one of our Collectors who is!) so if you want it in another colour I will do that for you!

Summer is fast approaching (no Swallows yet!) and we look forward to lots of visitors from the UK and abroad so make sure you make yourself known to all of us when you come!

Chritsmas is nearly here!

What a year! Looking back over the last year who would have thought what would happen with the money markets, Banks and the newly named "credit crunch"! Of course everyone has been affected one way or another and the strongest will survive. (Fighting spirit from post war babies!)

We at Carters Teapots have had a good year and enjoyed meeting old and new customers! We have continued to produce our world famous teapots here in Suffolk, England and have moved into our 31st year of business! Our teapots are seen as far afield now as Russia and New Zealand - from Harrods to the Cruise Liners - and it's clear that the British product is in even greater demand than ever (even if the recession is global!)
